How we gather prices

Box office face value is sourced from official show websites (Telecharge, Ticketmaster, and individual show pages) and verified manually. We do not scrape live seat-grid prices — Broadway primary pricing is complex, section-level, and changes constantly, and live scraping produces misleading precision. Instead, we report typical price ranges per section, updated by hand when policies change.

Resale price ranges are monitored across the major resale platforms (StubHub, SeatGeek, Vivid Seats) as ranges observed over time — not live quotes. A show page that says "typical resale: $80–$200" reflects real observed transactions in that window, not a live API call. Resale prices fluctuate daily; our ranges capture the realistic band, not the momentary snapshot.

Rush and lottery information comes directly from official show pages, TodayTix, Broadway Direct, and Lucky Seat — not from third-party aggregators or guesses. Prices, entry windows, draw times, and quantity limits are verified against the source and stamped with a lastReviewed date on every show page.

How often prices are refreshed

Every show page displays a Last Reviewed date in the footer. EvenAisle reviews active shows when ticket pricing changes — new season pricing, significant cast changes, announced closing notices — and at minimum monthly for currently running productions.

Guides are reviewed when the underlying landscape changes (e.g. a platform changes its fee structure or a lottery moves platforms) and stamped with an Updated date in the guide header. The updatedAt date on every guide reflects a substantive content review, not an incidental file touch.

What the EvenAisle Pick means

Every show page on EvenAisle flags one buying option as the EvenAisle Pick. The Pick is the option that offers the best combination of price, convenience, and realistic availability for most buyers — not the option that pays us the highest commission.

A few things the Pick is not:

  • Not paid placement. No show, venue, producer, or ticket platform pays to be the Pick or to be ranked higher on a show page. There is no such product.
  • Not permanent. The Pick changes when pricing changes. If a show's lottery raises its price, or a resale market shifts, the Pick is re-evaluated on the next review.
  • Not universal. The Pick is the best option for a typical flexible buyer. It is noted on each page when the Pick is contingent on circumstances (e.g. "only if your dates are flexible").

What EvenAisle does not do

  • Live seat-grid pricing. We do not show live per-seat prices pulled from Telecharge or Ticketmaster APIs. Those numbers change by the minute and are better served by going directly to the primary ticketing site.
  • Guaranteed resale prices. Resale ranges on show pages are typical observed ranges, not locked quotes. The actual price you see at checkout may be higher or lower.
  • Booking tickets. EvenAisle is a comparison site, not a ticket seller. Links on show pages go directly to the seller. We are not in the chain of any transaction.
  • Customer support for orders. If something goes wrong with a ticket you purchased through a link from this site, the seller (TodayTix, StubHub, Ticketmaster, etc.) is the right contact. We have no access to order information.

Affiliate disclosure

EvenAisle earns a commission when you click certain outbound links on this site and complete a purchase. The price you pay is identical to what you would pay going directly to the seller — we are compensated by the seller, not by a surcharge on your order.

Affiliate links on this site are marked with rel="sponsored" in the HTML. The affiliate disclosure banner is present on every page of the site.

A few things we want to be explicit about:

  • Some options we list — walk-up box office, TKTS booth — do not pay us a commission. We list them when they are the right answer regardless.
  • Affiliate commission rates vary by partner but do not influence the EvenAisle Pick or any ranking on any page. We track commission rates but do not optimize recommendations toward higher-commission partners.
  • We maintain affiliate relationships with TodayTix, StubHub, SeatGeek, and Vivid Seats. Telecharge and Ticketmaster primary sales are not currently affiliated.
