About the show
Jim Barne and Kit Buchan's small-cast musical, transferred from London's Criterion Theatre (2024). Dougal, a 27-year-old Englishman in New York for the first time to attend his father's Christmas wedding, meets Robin, the bride's no-nonsense 28-year-old sister who's been drafted into wedding errands. What begins as an obligatory ride from JFK becomes a snow-globe tour of the city — with a wedding cake to keep intact. Sam Tutty (reprising from the West End) and Christiani Pitts play the entire show as a two-hander. Previews began November 1, 2025; opened November 20, 2025 at the Longacre Theatre. Received 8 Tony nominations at the 79th Tonys (2026), including Best Musical, Best Actor (Tutty), and Best Actress (Pitts); no wins. New York Times Critic's Pick. A North American tour has been announced for fall 2027.
Content advisory: Recommended ages 12+. Mild language, some adult romantic content, mostly PG-13 territory. Family-friendly for teens and up.
