Eugene O'Neill Theatre

The Eugene O’Neill Theatre is a 1,108-seat house operated by Ambassador Theatre Group (formerly a Jujamcyn Theaters house), the long-running home of The Book of Mormon since the show opened on Broadway in 2011. It’s named for the playwright Eugene O’Neill — one of several Broadway houses named for major American dramatists — and sits in the central Theater District cluster on West 49th Street.

The room is comfortably mid-sized: an orchestra and a single mezzanine, with sight lines that hold up well across both levels. Centre orchestra and front mezzanine are widely considered the value picks here — neither distance penalty nor premium markup gets out of hand. For The Book of Mormon specifically, side-orchestra seats lose less than you’d expect; the staging is conversational rather than spectacle, and the close-in feel of the room works in its favor.
