Lunt-Fontanne Theatre

The Lunt-Fontanne Theatre is a 1,475-seat house operated by the Nederlander Organization, named for the legendary husband-and-wife acting team Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne. It’s a comfortably mid-sized Broadway venue with a traditional orchestra-mezzanine configuration and proportions that suit both larger musicals and play revivals.

The Lunt-Fontanne sits on West 46th Street, on the same block as the Richard Rodgers (home of Hamilton) and the Imperial. The orchestra slopes traditionally; the mezzanine has strong sight lines through most of its rows. Front-of-mezzanine seats here are a reliably good value choice — the room is small enough that the height advantage of the mezz doesn’t come with a meaningful distance penalty.
