The Shubert Theatre is the flagship venue of the Shubert Organization, a 1,469-seat house at the heart of the Theater District cluster on West 44th Street. It’s been the headquarters of the family-controlled company that owns more Broadway theatres than any other operator, and it’s hosted many of the company’s most prestigious bookings — long runs of major musicals and prestige play revivals alike.

The room is comfortably mid-sized with strong sight lines through most of the orchestra and the single mezzanine. The Shubert is on the same Shubert Alley block as the Booth, sharing the famous narrow pedestrian passage that runs north-south between West 44th and West 45th Streets — an unusual feature that makes the Shubert one of the easiest stage doors on Broadway to find.

Address: 225 W 44th St, on Shubert Alley.
