St. James Theatre
246 W 44th St, New York, NY 10036
The St. James Theatre is a 1,710-seat house operated by Ambassador Theatre Group (formerly a Jujamcyn Theaters house), with a long history of hosting major musical hits — productions like The King and I, Hello, Dolly!, The Producers, and Hamilton’s original run before its move to the Richard Rodgers. The room’s scale and shape make it a comfortable home for full-orchestration musicals.
The orchestra is wide and deep enough that distance becomes a real factor in the back rows; the single mezzanine sits at a productive height for a stage picture. Centre orchestra is the premium spend; front and centre mezzanine are the smarter value bets. Titanique is in residence for its 2026 Broadway engagement.
Address: 246 W 44th St, on the block shared with the Majestic and the Helen Hayes.
