TKTS (Times Square booth) — $65–$130
Chicago is one of the most reliable TKTS shows — 30–50% off face on the same-day board is routine. The $49 general rush is even cheaper but requires being at the box office at opening. Resale also frequently dips below face on weekdays.

About the show
Kander and Ebb's vaudeville-jazz satire of celebrity crime in 1920s Chicago opened in 1975, and the Bob Fosse-style 1996 revival has run continuously at the Ambassador ever since. As of 2026 it's the longest-running American musical in Broadway history. A rotating cast of celebrity headliners keeps the show in regular rotation on the TKTS board and at the top of the resale market.
Content advisory: Recommended ages 13+. Sexual content, references to murder, adult themes. The vaudeville frame keeps the heaviest material at one remove but it's pointedly adult.
